Middle Ground

Terms of Service

Effective date: 30 July 2026

Applies to: the Middle Ground iOS app

By using Middle Ground you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Middle Ground is

Middle Ground helps two people make everyday shared decisions — dinner plans, date nights, weekend logistics — by turning them into requests that the other person can accept, decline, negotiate, counter, reschedule, or save for later.

Your account

Pairing and invite codes

Middle Ground connects two people through a short invite code. Anyone who has your code can join your group, so share it only with the person you intend to pair with. Groups are limited to two people.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you write — request titles, notes, and messages. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store that content and show it to the person you paired with. We do not use your content to train models, and we do not sell it.

You are responsible for what you send. Do not use Middle Ground to harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, to send unlawful content, or to attempt to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours.

Acceptable use

Do not:

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms.

Availability

Middle Ground is provided as-is. We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption, and features may change or be removed. The app depends on third-party services (see the Privacy Policy) whose availability we do not control.

Notifications are delivered on a best-effort basis through Apple and Google infrastructure and may be delayed or dropped. Do not rely on Middle Ground for anything time-critical, urgent, or safety-related.

Price

Middle Ground is currently free. If paid features are introduced, they will be clearly described before you are charged, and any purchase would be handled by Apple under its own terms.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Middle Ground is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any missed plans, missed notifications, or lost content arising from your use of the app.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to the maximum extent permitted.

Termination

You may stop using Middle Ground and delete your account at any time. We may terminate access if these terms are breached. Deleting your account removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
